this was a calf-length flounced skirt with a set-in waist band, which has now become shoulder straps, armholes cut out of the hip area and a tunic is born!

Branching Out Into Yoyos...

Yoyos are definitely addictive to do and a great way to recycle clothing. It's amazing how fast you can churn out a whole bunch in no time at all...

I'm Making Hats!!!

My first attempt at hat-making is more like a "pillbox" hat but the brim is too tight on my forehead...so, I unravel the taffeta brim...


The finished product is a wearable brimmed hat with a detachible floral brooch which can be pinned onto any other hat or garment!
