Chocolate Raspberry Sandals

I had to make 'em mine...

I got these sandals in too bright a pink and regretted that perhaps I should've got them in the dark brown instead! E Voila, the Chocolate Raspberry Sandals are born...makes the pink part all that more tasty...I suppose...thanks Sharpie...I think... :~/ they'll grow on me...I'm sure... Hey, they'll go well with this scarf...good enough! :-D

oh, and this pink and brown coin motif Indonesian pareo found on the web would be delish with it as well... Turtle Island Imports: http://www.turtleislandimports.com

they've really got an amazing variety of all sorts of goods from all over...

Batik Bra Top to Headband and Sash

I had this old batk bra top for well over a decade which I never could wear(a little too small!)so I turned it into a sash(RHS) and the back of the top was turned into a smocked headband(LHS). Both terribly wearable now... :-)
the headband and sash's print closeup...
enjoy your summer and for goodness sake, be TROPICAL! Have a little Indonesian food-maybe a really good Rendang or a bit of a Sate...but do it...

Crocheted Cross-Over Shoulder Bag

Now that the weather has cooled down a bit and it's starting to feel like Fall, I'm thinking of little projects to do. So...I had a bit of yellow wool left over from the last project, so I got busy and made this cross-body purs. It took a full day of crocheting...
This one could be worn as a shoulder-bag but it is best worn crossed over the body from one shoulder to the other hip...

Redesign: Chef's Pants to Hip Cross-Body Shoulder Bags!

A pair of baggy houndstooth pants which were very much like a pair of Chef's pants, haha, that have ended up as a snazzy pair of shorts and the two cross-body shoulder bags!

you get the general idea...

Ever since I found out I was "The Owl" in Native American Medicine zodiac, I've been indulging in all things OWL...and this bag is one of them - lots of fun to design and create!

I just love the playfulness of Hello Kitty but never got around to buying something that had the motif - this was a joy to make...

I still have the other lower trouser leg left...let's see what could I put together next...?

Easter Bonnet

so it's a couple of days away from Easter, and I'm still in my fur-trimmed woollen house coat AND my hand crocheted pink and black cloche hat-yes, I've become a crocheted hat maker!

this hat does not photograph easily but I want to share how this version also ended up with touches of red - nice...

hat redesigned from crocheted draw-string victorian pouch bags - which were better un-photographed!

Lavendar Leaf and Twisted Seed Bead Danglers

These extremely simple enamel leaf earrings had corroded stud components so have been completely redesigned with additions of faceted lavendar beads and seed beads in shades of purple...didn't photograph or scan well...oops!!! But they look very playful on...

Hoop Earrings

An eye-catching pair of dangly, shiny, faceted bead, hoop earrings are the ultimate flirtation device and so I kinda was in the mood for a little flirting ;-) Great, because it was leading up to International Flirtation Week. And all these were redesigned from Christmas ornaments which had oxedized and looked a little worse for wear...
Hot Pink Faceted Bead and Heart Stud Hoops
Rainbow Faceted Bead Hoops

Blue, Teal, Smoke and Taupe Faceted Bead Hoops

Trading Beads Choker

this too was redesigned from a necklace that had extremely tiny silver components and one string had broken...

Valentine's Hearts

Some of my heartsy-fartsy projects...

pink crystal heart and faceted bead danglers

pink and red hearts for Valentine's Day...(click for detail)

...and another blue heart pendant...

part of a gift which will end up as a redesigned pin or brooch...

Astral Bodies...

Redesigned from an Earth keychain bought at the airport; the moon is a wooden bead painted in pewter, mixing gold and silver acrylic paints...it works!
