A Dye Job...

On a RAINY afternoon, what's a girl to do? So I went through my sewing notions and haberdashery drawer and came across these very vintage looking Victoriana gloves which had discolored. Now I know that they say you can take care of that with a WEAK bleach solution, but I was feeling adventurous, so I decided to dye them PURPLE(that's what the Rit Dye box says!) Well, it came out the most gorgeous INDIGO BLUE I've ever seen, so I kept going and depending on the absorbency of the material, this is how the items turned out...

I added SALT to the dye solution per Rit's instructions, and did a thorough rinse but will be ironing before I actually use any of these trims to make the color FAST...and keep my fingers crossed, hehe... (and wash items SEPARATELY, of course!)
